Vitamin Water 10 - less calories, but still hits the spot!

Posted on 4/13/2009 @ 12:36 PM in #Food by weddingbands 0 comments

I read this review of Vitamin Water 10 on WeddingPlanningandAccessories.com: When it comes time to get down to the real nitty-gritty of wedding planning, I think that most people really start to think about how they are going to look their wedding attire, and start pay closer attention to what they eat or drink. Everyone wants to look spectacular in their wedding pictures – don’t they? And every calorie counts. Today, while visiting the local Quick Check for some bottle water, I came across Vitamin Water 10. A couple of representatives were giving away free 12 oz. samples, and because I was wearing a Coca-Cola t-shirt (theynow ownVitamin Water), the guy was happy to stuff four samples in my bag. Thanks, dude! Read more.... I agree with the review. Vitamin Water 10 is pretty tasty. In fact, I am having bottle with my lunch today.

Need a boost? Give Red Bull Simply Cola a test run.

Posted on 3/10/2009 @ 10:07 AM in #Food by weddingbands 0 comments

A few years ago, I became a Red Bull Energy Drink junkie. While it took me a few weeks to get used to the taste, a can of Red Bull was never far from my hand either first thing in the morning, or before hockey games. And while I still enjoy a can now and then, I have found that the older I get, the less I enjoy that “Red Bull feeling.” I have recently been giving Red Bull Simply Cola a try. It’s not quite an energy drink, but instead an all natural cola. Consisting of natural ingredients (including coca leaf, kola nut, lemon/lime, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, pine, corn mint, galangal, vanilla, ginger, mace, cacao, licorice, orange, mustard seeds, and caffeine derived from coffee beans), Red Bull Simply Cola has a complex spiced flavor. In other words – you are not going to confuse it with Coke or Pepsi during a blind taste test. You might, however, enjoy Red Bull Simply Cola when you need a “kick,” but want it to be more on the mellow side. Read more...

The Burger King Crown Card

Posted on 9/18/2008 @ 3:37 PM in #Food by Justin 1 comments

At JDM, we’re equally huge fans of customer acquisition marketing as well as customer retention marketing. Burger King’s "Gold Card" is an excellent example of both types of marketing in the same activity. The Burger King "Gold Card" entitles its owner to a limitless supply of free food from any Burger King. The card is presented to celebrities who are "good friends" of the Brand. Jennifer Hudson, for example, was a former employee at Burger King before becoming a celebrity. Robert Downy, Jr. received a gold card after mentioning Burger King in an interview. Jay Leno also has received one and describes the reaction upon flashing his card: So I ordered my food, and the guy says, "That’s $11" So I say: "Fine, here you go," and hand him the card. His reaction was amazing: "Whoa…where’d you get this?" He was not impressed that I was on "The Tonight Show" or even that I was driving a Porsche Carrera GT. He was more impressed with this piece of plastic. This is brilliant marketing from BK. It presents the Brand

Italian Kitchen Design

Posted on 1/7/2008 @ 1:09 AM in #Food by cabinets 1 comments

When people want to do an Italian kitchen design, they often have a classic Italian motif in mind. While this may not be a complete reality, use your imagination and harken back to a more traditional age to create a beautiful and warm, family oriented family kitchen. Under a Tuscan SunTuscany is a warm place for most of the year and your Tuscan kitchen design should reflect this. This means that you should have lots of subtle, warm colors and textures that are soft and inviting. It also means getting as much natural sunlight as possible into your kitchen. Invest in great windows and be sure to buy soft yellow or cream translucent drapes to give your kitchen a warm glow. Classic Italian Food Grapes, tomatoes and olives are considered the holy trinity of Italian cooking. These are the elements that make up almost every Tuscan meal. A motif with these foods will inspire you to cook foods that would make Emeril say ¡®Bam' a thousand times. Also, try to pick up traditional Italian pots, pans and utensils.

How to Repaint Cabinet Hinges

Posted on 12/7/2007 @ 12:44 AM in #Food by cabinets 7 comments

The best way to update a kitchen quickly and effectively is by making changes to kitchen cabinetry. That might include restoration or repainting of the cabinets themselves or simply the changing of cabinet hardware. When new hardware is out of reach of your budget, painting cabinet hinges could be the best alternative for you. However, painting cabinet hinges can be tricky if it isn't done correctly. Below are instructions for repainting cabinet hinges. Step 1 Decide if you want to use the same or a different color of paint to redo the hinges.Choose the type and color of paint to be used. Keep in mind that it will be easier to make a lighter color hinge darker than it will be to turn a dark hinge lighter. Step 2 Make the appropriate purchases necessary to complete the project. Be sure to make a list before you go shopping so as not to forget anything that is needed. Step 3 Remove the hinges that are to be repainted from the kitchen cabinets. Be sure to use the right tools for removal so as not to
