Because the Alex Smith trade to the Kansas City Chiefs cannot go through until March 12th, when the new league year begins, it is not yet official. So when Colin Kaepernick, Smith's replacement, was on the NFL Network Thursday, he was very careful when addressing the trade.It was clear from the way he spoke about Smith that there was some father/son style feelings there and Kaepernick went so far as to say Smith was a, "great friend" and "great mentor" to him.Smith handled the midseason demotion with poise and grace and Kaepernick made sure that everyone knew that.I personally can't wait to see Smith in Kansas City. Could laser tattoo removal be in Jason Terry's future? Celtics fans sure hope not. Two seasons ago, Jason Terry got the O'Brien Trophy tattooed on his arm. That season ended with Jason Terry and the Dallas Mavericks winning the championship. Jason is hoping to repeat history with his new "season predicting" tattoo. Jason Terry added the famous leprechaun logo of the Boston Celtics to his arm. Instead of the leprechaun spinning a basketball on his finger, though, the O'Brien Trophy sits atop that finger; the same O'Brien Trophy that foreshadowed the Mavericks championship season two years ago.
