The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 has been in the news lately due to an expensive trip and a feature in Hollywood's biggest movie.
On Thursday, a wealthy man from Qatar sent his $340,000 Murciélago LP640 on a 6,500-mile round-trip flight to Britain justto have a service, sparking controversy from environmentalists.
The car was put on a regular Qatar Airways flight to London's Heathrow airport, then flown back after having its oil checked.
The service cost 3,552 pounds ($7,042). The cost of sending it by air freight was 20,000 pounds ($39,655).
In the latest Batmanblockbuster "The Dark Knight," Christian Bale, who plays Bruce Wayne/Batman, drives a Murciélago LP640 in the movie. In 2005's "Batman Begins", Bale drove the Murciélago Roadster. The car fits the movies, for Murciélago means "bat" in Spanish.
The Murciélago LP640 has two versions: Versace and Roadster. It is rumored that Lamborghini will make the Murciélago SV, which will be the last model of the car until its successor is unveiled. The

A man travelling on a Greyhound bus was killed and then decapitated by a fellow passenger in what authorities are labeling a “major incident.”
The attack occurred while the bus was en route from Edmonton, Alberta to Winnipeg, Manitoba and according to witnesses the victim had been asleep when the murder took place.
Those witnesses described the attacker as “robotic,” recalling how the man pulled out a large hunting knife and repeatedly stabbed his seatmate. The victim screamed but the man continued the assault until he was dead and then cut the man’s head off.
The man then proceeded to walk to the front of the bus, drop the head and waited for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to arrive. He was taken into custody without incident.

An 11-year-old Louisiana boy remains in critical condition after his arm was bitten off by an alligator believed to be between 10 to 12 feet long.
Devin Funck had been swimming with two friends in a pond near his home northeast of New Orleans when the alligator snagged him and took him under water. Funck reportedly gouged the alligator’s eye and was released but not before losing his arm.
The two friends with Funck ran for help and when rescue workers arrived they found him floating in the water. He was airlifted to a hospital while wildlife officials located the alligator and removed the boy’s arm from its stomach.
It is not known if the arm will be successfully reattached.

Casey Anthony, mother of missing 2-year-old Caylee Anthony, was spotted at a club just days after her daughter reportedly went missing and now photos of that outing have hit the Internet.
The photos were taken while the 22-year-old Casey Anthony was at the Orlando club Fusion on June 20 and the pics didn’t appear to show a mother too concerned with the whereabouts of her missing daughter.
John Azzilano, the photographer who caught Casey out partying, told FOX News, “She seemed happy, as were most of the people there that night. She seemed all right, having a good time, just like people our age would that night.”
On July 15 Casey Anthony reported to police that Caylee had been missing for more than a month, a date that would have preceded her club outing.
Michael Walsh, an attorney for Anthony, explained that Casey’s initial report of Caylee’s disappearance was flawed because she feared for her daughter’s life. Casey has maintained that a babysitter ran off with Caylee.

DNA evidence has confirmed that the body found off the coast of Brazil is that of Roman Catholic priest Rev. Adelir Antonio de Carli, the popular religious figure who attempted to navigate the skies using 1,000 helium balloons.
Rev. Adelir Antonio de Carli had been staging the balloon navigation in an attempt to raise money for a rest stop and worship center for truckers. On April 20 de Carli lifted off the ground of Paranagua, Brazil but quickly lost contact with his ground team and drifted over the Atlantic.
The following day several of the balloons used to keep de Carli in the air were discovered in the water and about a month later a body was found off Rio de Janeiro. While many suspected the body was that of 41-year-old de Carli it wasn’t until Tuesday that those suspicions were confirmed.

Camille Hayton has been identified as the "NY Girl of My Dreams," a topic of conversation for several hopeless romantics in New York City.
On Nov. 4, 2007, Patrick Moberg, 21, saw a woman standing across the train tracks in a Brooklyn subway, but lost her in the crowd. In order to track her down, Mosberg got the help of a sketch artist and created a website called "NY Girl of My Dreams" to find her. The website was located at http://www.nygirlofmydreams.com/.
On NYGirlofMyDreams.com, Moberg placed the picture and gave his cell phone number and e-mail address in order to track her down.
Within 48 hours, one of her friends spotted the Hayton's picture on the "NY Girl of My Dreams" site and recognized her. Hayton, a native of Melbourne, Australia, was living in Brooklyn at the time.
Shortly thereafter, Moberg and Hayton began dating in what many considered to be a modern-day fairy tale.
Moberg and Hayton initially appeared on TV and began to garner international media attentionfor their relationship.

President George W. Bush approved the execution of army soldier Ronald A. Gray who confessed to murdering two women and raping five.
Gray was sentenced to death in 1988 by a military court. The execution of an army soldier must be approved by the president. Bush’s approval is the first such move in more than 50 years. The last president to sign an execution order was Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1957.
“President Bush this morning accepted the recommendation of the Secretary of the Army to approve a sentence of death for army private Ronald A. Gray, affirming the sentence that resulted from a general court martial for multiple charges of murder and rape committed while serving as a member of the armed services,” said press secretary Dana Perino in a statement. “While approving a sentence of death for a member of our armed services is a serious and difficult decision for a commander-in-chief, the president believes the facts of this case leave no doubt that the sentence is just and warranted. The Harper family "Extreme Makeover" house has become a victim of the foreclosure crisis, according to reports on Monday.
ABC's "Extreme Makeover" aided the Harper family by demolishing their decrepit house and building them a four-bedroom mini-mansion in Georgia. The feat took 1,800 people, becoming the most ambitious project in the hit show's history. The house was built three years ago in 2005.
The Harper family placed the home as collateral to secure a $450,000 loan, which failed, causing the house to go on auction in a Clayton County courthouse on Aug. 5.
Materials and labor were donated to the house, which would have cost $450,000 to build. Atlanta's Beazer Homes also raised $250,000 in contributions for the family, including scholarships for the couple's three children and a home maintenance fund.
