Season 5 Biggest Loser contestant Dan Evans has released his first country album. The 21-year-old aspiring singer said being on the show and losing 136 lbs. made it possible for him to release an album. “A lot of transformation on The Biggest Loser was a mental and emotional transformation. Music has always been my passion but I was always uncomfortable with myself,” he tells People magazine. “I was so uncomfortable inside my own skin that I was afraid of exposing myself emotionally. Angelina Jolie is set to return to the United State for the New York premiere of her new movie ‘The Changeling.’ The trip will mark her first return and first public appearance since welcoming twins Knox and Vivienne in July. Jolie and partner Brad Pitt moved to France earlier this year and recently moved to Germany. It is unclear if Pitt and their six children will accompany her to the states. Janet Jackson has been released from a Montreal hospital. The 42-year-old was hospitalized Monday shortly before she was to perform at a concert. Jackson’s rep said she “got suddenly ill” during her sound check and was taken to a nearby hospital. The concert was cancelled. A rep for the Royal Victoria Hospital confirms that the singer has been released. “Yesterday evening she was checked into the Royal Victoria Hospital and left a couple of hours later,” said the rep. Details about Jackson’s condition were not released. Last night on Dancing with the Stars the 11 remaining couples were set to dance either the Rumba or the Pasodoble. It wasn’t the performances that stole the show last night; it was openly gay singer Lance Bass’s lip lock with partner Lacey Schwimmer. Bass and Schwimmer added a modern twist to their performance. They danced to Katy Perry’s hit song ‘I Kissed a Girl’ and at the end of the routine Bass locked lips with Schwimmer. Judge Len Goodman wasn’t a fan of the performance and gave them a 6. Bruno Tonoli and Carrie Ann Inaba gave each gave them a 7, making their total score 20 out of 30 points. It wasn’t their best score, but Bass is still a frontrunner. The paparazzo reportedly claimed that he made a sex tape with Spears while they were vacationing in Mexico earlier this year. Actor Kevin Costner is set to release his first country album with his band Modern West in November. The ‘Swing Vote’ star has been playing with his band, once called Roving Boy, for nearly 20 years. DJ AM Attends Plane Crash Memorial Service in Los Angeles

Adam Goldstein, known to fans as DJ AM, was among a group of mourners that gathered for a memorial service for plane crash victim and friend Chris Baker on Monday. Nearly 300 people attended the 2-hour service for Baker, 29, who died in a plane crash that killed four and left Goldstein and former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker severely burned. Goldstein, 35, arrived in a limousine wearing a green polo shirt, at the request of Baker’s wife Otillia Villar. Villar requested that mourners wear green, Baker’s favorite. Barker, 32, was unable to attend the service as he was released from an Augusta, Georgia burn center on Monday. Mindy McCready Goes to Jail for Probation Violation

Country singer Mindy McCready is headed back to jail for violation of probation. The 32-year-old will voluntarily surrender to Tennessee authorities on Tuesday to serve 60 days behind bars. “I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs, and entertain,” McCready said in a statement released Monday. "I would like to thank my fans for their unwavering support as I continue to work on my recovery and to regain custody of my precious son, Zander." McCready was arrested in June for violating her probation for prescription drug fraud. She entered rehab in July for undisclosed treatment. The singer has a history of legal problems.
