Miss England Rachel Christie Loses Crown After Bar Fight

Posted on 11/6/2009 6:31:56 PM in #Celebrities | 0 comments comments

Miss England Rachel Christie has lost her title and crown after hitting a fellow pageant contestant. According to reports, Christie attacked Miss Manchester Sara Beverley Jones at an “adult themed” party at Mansion nightclub Monday night.

The fight was sparked over Christie’s boyfriend, Gladiator actor David McIntosh. Jones apparently showed Christie a text message from McIntosh. Christie, 21, was arrested after punching Jones in the face several times.

Christie gave up her crown to “focus on clearing her name.” She has also withdrawn from next month’s Miss World finals in South Africa.

Greater Manchester police refused to confirm Christie and Jones were in a bar fight. Christie has not been formally charged and is free on bail.
