Hello all! Kerry Ryan here,11 days to Christmas…It’s like a truck careening downhill, on an ice covered road with no brakes and the end of the road is coming up fast! So if you indulge me for a moment let me relate the trials and tribulations of a gentleman named I. B. Putz. See Mr. Putz shops two ways; one year he’ll stop by Shenoa Diamonds, starting in September, searching for that perfect Christmas gift for his wife. It will entail weekly visits; one week we’ll look at diamond studs and never quite come together on the proper size. Hello all, Kerry Ryan here…Random thoughts…I heard this quote the other day “there are no true friends” I could not disagree more, let’s start with my wife, she is my friend and we become stronger friends daily, long before the engagement ring, long before the wedding ring she became my true friend, there is an unseen trust and understanding can’t fully explain it but anyone who has it will understand it.In my circle of life I have been blessed with true friends, these people got my back, will be there in the middle of a dark rainy night if needed, would bail me out if needed, I haven’t needed that in a few years but its good to know that they are there.So my wish for you is true friends, it’s a blessing!!!Now more then ever our friends, family and partners are needed and in turn to show appreciation for them is also needed, reward them this year. Hello all, Kerry Ryan here!Rainy Days and Mondays…Well, here in New York we’re about to loose the whole weekend to back to back Nor’easters, there goes my plans for golf and running around with the kids outside as the days are getting shorter.What that does afford me is time to plan and at Shenoa & Co. Hello all, Kerry Ryan here…As we approach the Labor Day holiday let us all remember that is to honor those who’ve served this country we hold so dear. It’s easy to write about diamonds and rings and earrings as well as the stories that come about when selling them or just trying to.We will spend this weekend with friends and family at barbeques perhaps the beach or mountains or touring one of our great cities, in doing so just take a little timeout to remember those that have preceded us and those that aren’t able to do so because they are in some far off country protecting us and those around them. While I normally would write about diamonds, engagement rings or our clients, we approach a holiday weekend so if you’ll indulge me I would like to touch upon Memorial Day. While we are planning our barbeques, picnics and days at the beach let us not forget what this holiday is truly about. Memorial Day is the day we honor our military, those living as well as those fallen. We must all remember that as we go about our lives there are fine men and women that are far from home whose sole intention is to keep us safe from harm while putting themselves in harms way. They don’t ask much and on top of it volunteer to do so, so it’s not asking much from us that we just remember these fine men and women on this holiday. My wife and I come from a military background so it’s easy for us to hang our flag and call family and thank them for their service and to remember those we cannot thank in person.
