According to the laws of physics, the average woman simply can't succeed as a NASCAR pit crew member. The average woman is about 5'4'' and weighs close to 130lbs meaning that she would have to lift half her weight, as NASCAR tires are between 55 and 70lbs, twice and bolt the two in 12 seconds or less.
However, Christmas Abbott could be the first to do it. She has a garage filled with weights and a kitchen filled with lug nuts, an air gun and a wheel-and-axle set.
The 115lb Abbott can currently squat over 275 lbs and getting heavier everyday. Now she wants to enter one of the most male dominated sports of all time and the best part is, NASCAR isn't even as hard as her day job.
"I have to get dirty and [travel] overnight," Abbott said about diving into a year-long Truck Series schedule. "NASCAR fans are die-hard and they will call out your B.S. I want to go to the highest level, and I left three jobs to do [this] one."
I don't know about you fellas but i think I'm in love... too bad Valentine's day is over.
