WASHINGTON (CRWENewswire) -- The Postal Service reported a loss of $3.8 billion last year, despite a reduction of 40,000 full-time positions and other cost-cutting measures.
The loss was $1 billion more than the year before despite job cuts and other efforts designed to save billions of dollars, postal officials said Monday.
"Our 2009 fiscal year proved to be one of the most challenging in the history of the Postal Service," Chief Financial Officer Joseph Corbett said.
CHICAGO (CRWENewswire) -- Standard Parking Corp. said Monday it closed its previously disclosed secondary offering of 6.6 million shares of its common stock priced at $16 each.
The offering was made by GSO Special Situations Fund LP, GSO Special Situations Overseas Master Fund Ltd., GSO Special Situations Overseas Benefit Plan Fund Ltd., GSO Capital Opportunities Fund LP and CML VII, LLC.
ATLANTA (CRWENewswire) -- Coca-Cola Co. seeks to double its business in the next decade as it caters to the expected billion people worldwide who will join the middle class by 2020.
The world's largest soft drink maker says its systemwide revenue will reach $200 billion by 2020. It hopes to make more money off those sales as it sells more soft drinks in emerging markets and reduces costs.
