It’s time for you to Get Loud Social.
With the web growing in popularity everyday and everyone wanting to garner the attention of someone it has become extremely competitive to get your message heard and seen amongst the masses. It has become very similar to opening weekend of a Movie. Imagine if The Avengers simply opened up 3 weeks ago and no one knew about it. Imagine the studio didn’t send Robert Downey Jr. out on the road to do Letterman and Leno. Imagine no ads for The Avenger running on the web, TV, no billboards. Imagine no previews it just was in the theater on that Wednesday night opening, do you think it would have shattered box office records? Of course not! The Studio had to create interest people needed to find out about it. Trailers needed to be seen, people needed to Like them and leave comments. Share them with their friends and then shared again with their friends. Is the internet any different?
You’ve done a video and it is hovering around a few hundred views on YouTube and those are the people that already know who you are and what you do. You want to grow your audience you need to you want to reach people that woke up this morning not knowing who you were. Same with your message getting out over Twitter do you have the followers you need that can retweet your message so that enough people get it that it can make a difference?
How many people Like you? How many would if they knew you existed? Movie studios give away tickets to sneak previews to build the buzz among movie goers isn’t it time you get your Buzz going on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube?
Of course it is but you don’t have a huge Hollywood Budget and you don’t have a lot of time. After all you are already working on the next thing or you are pushing what you want people to see but you still need a bigger audience.
