Alliant TechSystems Inc (NYSE:ATK) to Release Q2 2010 Earnings November 12

Alliant TechSystems, Inc. (NYSE:ATK) will release the second quarter earnings for 2010 on Thursday, November 12.  The company will conduct a conference call at 10:00 am ET that morning to discuss the financial results.  The call will be accessible via webcast on the Webcasts page of the Investors section of the company’s website,www.atk.com.

Alliant TechSystems has teamed up with BAE Systems to develop the Joint Allied Threat Awareness System, referred to as JATAS.  JATAS is a missile warning system developed to protect the US Navy’s and US Marine Corps’ helicopters and tilt-wing aircrafts.  The $32.2 million contract includes the development and demonstration of the JATAS. The JATAS Technology Demonstration phase is expected to last sixteen months and consists of flight demonstrations of prototypes and a final down select from the Navy.

 

Alliant Techsystems Inc. (ATK) is a supplier of aerospace and defense products to the United States government, allied nations, and prime contractors. It is also a supplier of ammunition and related accessories to law enforcement agencies and commercial customers. As of March 31, 2009, the Company had three segments: ATK Armament Systems, ATK Mission Systems and ATK Space Systems. ATK Armament Systems develops and produces military ammunition and gun systems, commercial products, tactical accessories and equipment, and propellant and energetics. ATK Mission Systems operates in two areas: Weapon Systems and Aerospace Systems. ATK Space Systems operates in two businesses: Launch Systems and Spacecraft Systems. The Company produces rocket motors for tactical weapons fired by aircraft, ships, ground platforms, and combat troops. In March 2009, the Company acquired Eagle Industries.
